To Retire or Not To Retire. That really is the question when you're a Digital Nomad. Digital Nomads in Asia really do live like retirees at times. Even if you're not 50 (the age many Asian retirement perks begin), you start to feel like you're "retired". Nobody really retires though. Many people just take more time to enjoy their hobbies and interests. Many continue working as well. It's a great way to stay alert and busy if you love your job.
As I near age 39 (age 19 if people assume and age 29 if people are still confused) on Dec 20th, 2020, I've really started taking the time to look at Asian real estate. I've stayed in all sorts of Asian accommodations since 2019. There are some really great design aspects that I just love (heated floors, minimalism, compact kitchens, elevated entrances for shoes, floor futons, robots, etc).
Asia is quite foreigner friendly when it comes to purchasing real estate, esp in countries like Japan. You can visit https://realestate.co.jp/en/ to look at some modern styles for yourself. I highlighted the practical and unique Japanese Dome Homes already HERE.
Staying in Asian accommodations is a lot different than viewing them online though. Everything from soundproofing to maintenance to technology is taken into consideration. The biggest thing for me is technology these days. I have to give it to Japan for having the most diverse technology in their accommodations (hostels to rentals) thus far.
