My last beauty haul was all about supplements for the most part. I spoke highly of Astaxanthin that I still take. It's quite popular in Japan as the Fall starts up and skin hydration becomes a priority. It also protects you from the sun's UV rays. You can take a higher dose beyond 4 grams to build it into your system. 12 grams a day would be the max. You can then work your way down.
It's similar to when you take collagen supplements. Higher doses (10-15 grams) can build into the system for a couple of months before working your way down to maintenance doses (5-10 grams). It also depends on your age (30+) when you'll need to protect your body more from aging.
This beauty haul was rather simple on the skincare. I gave myself enough time to try out these two products to report back. The one that I absolutely love is also quite popular in Japan. Luckily SE Asia is fully stocked with skincare products from all over Asia.
It's the Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion (Light). It hydrates the skin from the surface to the inner skin layers for soft, smooth, and supple skin. It has a light texture for normal/combination/oily skin. There are no fragrances, mineral oils, alcohol, and colorants. Its main ingredient is hyaluraonic acid. It has 4 types of hyaluronic acid for extra moisture. It's a product line that I'll probably continue to try out in the future.
The second product that I love is also a hyaluronic acid product. It's Eucerin's Hyaluron-Filler 3x Deep Line Filler. It's your botox in a bottle in other words. I actually picked it up because Junhee of A.C.E recommended it in a Vlog. Who wouldn't take a recommendation from a Kpop Idol on skincare products though? They seem to have anti-aging down for the most part. It could be the collagen and/or hydration face masks that they wear every night though.
This product is great for those who want to target specific age lines, scars, under the eye areas, etc. It does a good enough job at plumping things up for some baby face realness. :D
