It's that time of the year when early Xmas lovers and retail shops start putting up their Xmas trees. Although upside down Xmas trees have become a trend in the last few years, I still think you can make an upright Xmas tree work in your "alternative" favor.
One way to make a Xmas tree work is to go the Prosperity Route. To enjoy more prosperity for the current end of the year and new year, work with these simple Feng Shui design tips.
1. Law of Attraction
Feng Shui works with compass directions and interior design to create harmony in your life.
Declutter your space to allow more chi (energy) to move around.
Write out positive things that you wish to achieve and attract.
You will use your list for Xmas tree decorations. Your Xmas tree will become your Vision Board.
2. Prosperity Compass Directions
North - Career Luck - Blue or Black Xmas Tree
East - Family & Fresh Growth Luck - Green or Blue Xmas Tree
Southeast - Financial Luck - Green, Blue, or Purple Xmas Tree
Southwest - Relationship Luck - Pink, Beige, or Yellow Xmas Tree
Northwest - Helpful People & Travel Luck - Gold, White, or Silver Xmas Tree
3. Prosperity Symbols
Feng Shui and Chinese New Year traditions view oranges as symbols of wealth.
A bowl of fruit with faux and/or real oranges and lemons can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Place on your kitchen, dining, and/or living room tables.
Hang fruit decorations and/or real orange slices on your Xmas tree.
The smell of citrus will uplift your spirits.
Consider citrus teas, citrus toiletries, and/or citrus foods as Xmas gifts as well.
Halloween is always a fun time to observe people's hidden selves.
These days, Generation Z welcomes Halloween 365 days a year in their daily outfits, hair, and makeup. As an 80s Millennial who wore bright colored clothes like everyone else, had an eyebrow piercing for a year or two in the 90s, reddish hair like Janet Jackson for a month in the 90s, and pretty much welcomed styles from Tomboy hip hop to Preppy girly girl, I get it! I'm also a Kpop fan like so many today.
Although my stylings were short lived and based on the styles of my generation, I'm still blown away by the amount of Generation Z's cow ringed unicorns. I'm not even making a joke there. They really are loving those nose piercings and colored hairstyles more than 80s or 90s kids did.
I wouldn't really call today's day to day styles a costume though. It just represents the current times of gender neutrality, androgyny, short lived hookups, and/or singles with no intention to really mingle. Will Generation Z grow out of their styles like the 80s and 90s kids did by 30? Most likely.
Now let's look at some popular Halloween costumes to see what more we can learn.
In a nutshell, your favorite Halloween costume is what you crave more of in your life.
Vampire - This is my favorite. As mentioned above, I had reddish black hair at one point. It's still my favorite color combination for Fall and/or Winter moods, Halloween party themes, and Kpop concepts. It was also my go to for Halloween costumes.
If you like Vampire themes and black haired costumes, you may have a widow's peak, enjoy sophisticated tastes (foods, styles, trips, partners, etc) and desire more creative expressions at night vs. the day. Sunsets may be your favorite.
Consider visiting more locations where you can enjoy hipster scenes, historical buildings, "conservative" styles, and/or fine dining.
Jokers - If you enjoy Joker costumes and green haired monster themes, you may need to express your inner rebel more. The Joker started off as a harmless clownish prankster when he was introduced in the 40s/50s. The Joker became more of a threat to Batman in the 70s. He really was Batman's other half. The push and pull energy really shows itself in Joker fans.
Consider visiting more locations that allow you to unleash your inner rebel safely. This can be amusement parks, carnivals, street art locations, Halloween parties, themed cafes, comedy clubs, etc.
Joker fans may enjoy Kpop song concepts like EXO's Obsession and A.C.E's Savage...all very harmless concepts at the end of the day!
Anything Cute - If you enjoy cute costumes and themes, you may need to express your innocent side more. Many people have their guards up on a daily basis, esp in countries that require you to.
Consider visiting more locations that allow you to let your guard down. This could be Disney parks, countries like Japan, animal themed cafes, science museums, etc. :)
The recent news of Japan releasing treated radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean in 2022 is no surprise. Plan your travels now eh? It will be done in phases over many years vs all at once obviously. It does still worry many environmentalists like myself. I already stick to the lowest amounts of light chunk tuna consumption a week (0-2 cans). I even wonder if that's too much mercury.
In life you take the good and make the most of the "bad" though.
My kale powder allows for a daily detox if necessary. ;)
For some time, many people like myself have stressed the importance of healthy eating via growing your own food, seeking out alternative meat sources, and filtering water. I doubt your Brita filters will do much good though. It's funny how the older generations who grew up on homemade foods and homegrown foods are pretty much forcing everyone to look into the same...even if it's grown in a Vegan lab or inside your own home. THAT really is the future of food though. Like everything in life, self-reliance and self-responsibility remains at the top of the food chain. :)
It's almost November when many young people to old people rock their vote. Even though I get asked about elections, I stand as an Independent. Maybe I just know too much after working on school campaigns and actual election campaigns during HS in the 90s. I'm also in Asia this year.
I do encourage everyone to share their voice though to make their communities and countries better.
Despite this year's U.S. election looking like The Price is Right game show, I do hope the World can get back on its feet in a few years, esp the travel industry.
Until then, enjoy your Plinko "stimulus games".
Plinko is a great game to DIY for your Halloween Parties though.
That's really all that is on my mind during the Fall season to be honest.
To each his/her own though. Politics isn't for everyone.
How good are you at detaching from people, places, and/or things in life? Do certain things make you react all of the time? Knowing your triggers is important in life. They can really help you to look further into why you do the things that you do. Everything flows a bit deeper if you really look into it. It can brew some great comedy if you go quickly to that healing state as well.
Focusing more on the things that bring you joy can really help though, esp in times of stress. That's when you shouldn't hold back from reacting and sharing your joy. I personally seek out "Try Not to Laugh, Sing, Lip Sync, Dance, Smile, etc" challenges for that reason! Although the challenges are fun to test your self control, nobody really succeeds at it for long.
Today I bring you a "Try Not to Sing" Challenge. You can take it on if you want to hear some throwback pop tunes to sing and dance to. You can also take it on if you want to test your willpower.
Either way, good luck. lol Have fun with it though. You know the minute Christina Aguilera and Nsync starts singing, the challenge is going to be over. Just saying! Christina and Nsync were my first pop concerts for a reason. ;)
Are You Ready?...
After spending over a year in Asia, I've gotton pretty good at identifying Asian races and all of their mixes. Now I find myself playing the game with myself.
Multiracial black women like myself may find it fascinating to live in Asia. You really do transform (physically, mentally, and spiritually).
My first experience with Ambiguity came in high school when someone asked me if I was Biracial. I just answered no and left it at that. Despite being one of the founding members of our Diversity Club, I was really just eh to race identities in general. I already talked about being part of the alternative music radio station. Nuff said.
Now after being in Asia and being mistaken for Southeast Asia in both East Asia and in Southeast Asia, I'm starting to feel like a true Chameleon. There's nothing weirder than being assumed that you're Biracial and Black your whole life, to being assumed you're Southeast Asian or being spoken to in a different language before English. Some personality aspects quickly identify me as American though.
Who knows if I'll ever become fluent in any of the languages though. I still have my handy two way translator headsets to try out. It's crazy that you don't even need to use these devices though.
The other odd thing is when you start using natural and Asian skincare products and supplements for anti-aging. I'm not referring to lightning products at all. Nothing makes you look into science quicker than the transformation that occurs from natural ingredients like Vitamin C, Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, and other melanin blocking ingredients. Staying out of the hot sun also shows its magic. It truly reminds you that everyone is just beige underneath aka the future of societies! I've been forced to recognize the African of the African American, the Native American, and the European blood in me. I don't know why it took living throughout Asia for that to happen. This is why you shouldn't put yourself or others in just one assumed identity box.
For those of European descent, it's a different physical transformation that I've observed in East Asia. Some really get ingrained into the culture to where the style, hair, and makeup makes you wonder if they actually have East Asian in them.
For those who are mixed race Asians with East Asian and/or Southeast Asian, it's even more fascinating to see their mixes up close.
The future of Asia is sure to be a unique one though! I look forward to it! :-o
This is not going to come as a surprise to anyone. You really don't need a Sociological degree in Marriage and Family either. After spending enough time observing locals from East to Southeast Asia, Asia is literally just Asia "America" or Asia "Europe" or Asia "Westernized Land". Just change the map already.
I don't say this in a totally negative way though. It's just what Asia has become and is becoming.
I literally found myself laughing today as I saw a glimpse of Asia in 10 years. The Western and European influences are clear as day! The "Westernized" foods aren't quite up to par though yet. I have my jokes about that. Some of yall do as well. The creations are amazing aka just make your own western food. lol
Beyond the elements of traditional culture that exists in Asia, there are clear thoughts of "these kids, these parents, these places, etc, etc are just like westerners!" will come at some point.
Asia in 10 years is definitely going to see your typical "eye roll" behaviors from kids and parents, esp with parents becoming lazier and lazier with child rearing. I said what I said. I've seen the "eh whatever" regrets of parents these days. They know they can't give them back. Unfortunately you still see some having more and more to keep a relationship together. Sociologically speaking, more children actually increase the likelihood of divorce, esp by the time the child is age 5 to 13.
Why are young people still having kids though? Who is telling them to do so? I remember one sociological reporting on the subject though that was done by Asians throughout Asian countries. Despite low birth rates, there are still unplanned pregnancies, social pressures, and conditioning that goes into it.
On the other hand there are Asians and Interracial couples in Asia that have stuffed animals, fish, and/or other pets as their "children". They know what's affordable!
Obesity to Vitamin and mineral deficiencies in children and adults are still issues everywhere though. It's just cheaper to care for the health of a pet or a non living stuffed animal from a claw machine.
If you're still confused on what I've been talking about in terms of Asia's present and future forecast, the Benzi Project skit is the perfect perspective from many Asian and foreigner Millennials.
I saw this skit last year and knew I had to test it out for myself. Accurate honesty strikes again in comedy! It doesn't matter how many people come over to Asia at this point. The pot has already been stirred. It's also a bit spicy. ;)
One thing that I love about Asia, esp East Asia is the fashion. Kpop fashion in particular is full of surprises when comebacks come around.
One of the groups that I can't seem to quit is A.C.E. Their Korean fantasy/folklore/butterfly/programming/transformation/dark shit/blah blah blah/believe what you wish for any concept comeback photos have really caught me by surprise. haha I almost feel like I was tuning into them subconsciously with my past posts! One image after another kept popping up that made me go hmm?
One of the main vocalists Donghun has really surprised me with his beautiful photos.
Roosters are known to be a little quirky in our fashion choices. We can usually wear just about anything and make it work. This is what Donghun has shown to be true. If you're looking for some confident poses and/or styles from their upcoming comeback, here ya go!
Give him and the group some love. They really do have beautiful voices when they are being laid back and carefree. Donghun's voice actually has quieted kids, influenced the weather, and had animals sing along. lol That could be the watery Pisces in him though. That also makes him a great free flowing dancer.
He is the only person that shares a 100% emotional biorhythm compatibility with me as well. This makes me extra curious about him. I included the rest of the vocal line with Jun and Chan's water photos as well.
If you're a fan of Halloween like myself, enjoy. If you're not, why not?
It really is always Halloween in Asia though! You don't have to be around cosplayers either.
The spirits, ghost stories, folklore, Kpop concepts, etc are always present.
I was taking a little break and closed my eyes to contemplate Halloween movies. There hasn't been much in the movies this year. I think the Universe requires atleast 3 good sci fi movies a year for things to be balanced. There has been drive thru haunted houses in Japan though.
As I was thinking about the screaming "banshee" children that I've heard in SE Asia, I started laughing. It really was a sound that I've never heard before! The first thing that I thought about was how great a movie concept it would be though. I've always joked about some kids being little possessed beings. It's not really a joke though. I really do think something is up with some of them!
I've seen reptilian and shadow spirit attachments around some adults, teens, and children in the past. A lot of the time these spirit attachments are around people with addictions, negativity, and/or overall bad nutrition. Clearing their auras with spiritual techniques like incense, salt soaks, and overall positive lifestyle changes can assist them. When I thought about some kids needing salt soaks, I thought about water ghosts in bathtubs. I don't even know if that's a thing beyond the movies though.
I would love to see an Asian movie about water ghosts set in different Asian countries though. It would cover all the water areas that I've had experiences in (ocean islands, rivers, lakes, canals). Truth is scarier than fiction, but sometimes you just have to go the "fiction" route with some of the creepy things you sense and read about.
Anyhoo, here's the mood board that showed up when I closed my eyes. Some of these images were inspired from childhood books that I enjoyed (I read a lot of sci fi and ghost stories as a kid), comedy shows that make me laugh, and real life experiences that I've had out in Asia so far (doppelgangers, spirit showing near a river park video, kids wearing matching clothes in the mountains like a scene from the Shining, seeing visions of two spirits walking through the wall to the outside, and more! You don't have to ask me if I believe in ghosts at this point. lol
** By the way, mountains and water will always bring about some form of the paranormal if you're intuitive. The reason is due to the rock crystals that hold energy. Water is nothing more than tiny crystals that can be shaped by energy as well.
Now let's have a laugh with Sal's hilarious VR experience. This will always crack me up no matter how many times I watch it. It always gets me in the mood for Halloween...even if it's always going on in Asia. ;) Enjoy!
I like sharing my perspective on life as an Intuitive. When I have restless nights, I often check in with the Universe. I see the Universe in 3 Layers...Human World, Spirit World, and "Extra" World. It's similar to taking a spiritual vibration elevator.
After checking in with some of my favorite humans, I often check in with my spirit guides, etc. It's only when I'm really bored that I check in with the extraterrestrials. This is the image that was shown to me tonight that made me laugh. My spirit guide has a sense of humor! I just had to randomly share after finding the perfect image. There ya have it! That's your 2020 "Matrix". lol Call on them to speed things up. They obviously aren't up to much. haha
P.S. I did win Best Costume and some prizes one year with this Halloween look.
You can try that out too if you want. ;)
Over the years, I’ve had many people (teachers, classmates, clients, etc) ask me how I remain so chill all the time. Many times I end up laughing on the inside because it’s about 90% true. Even if I do find myself getting upset about something, I always end up laughing out loud because of a joke I end up making about a situation. I truly believe that weak minded/egocentric people will have a hard time in the World. You have to get your mind right from an early age. This will allow you to focus through anything, especially when it comes to Mother Nature.
You know there are kids All Over the World who have learned how to play board games and/or video games during a thunderstorm, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, etc.
Safety first of course. ;)
Here are some ways that I have learned to focus over the years…
Chores – I grew up with chores, finishing homework before I could go out and play, and extracurricular activities. This teaches kids how to be responsible, organized, and balance work with play.
Entrepreneurship – I also grew up with lemonade stands, yard sales, etc. This teaches kids how to be self-sufficient. I’m a strong believer in having your foundations (health, career, finances) solid first and foremost in life.
Minimalism – Minimalism isn’t always about living with less. It’s about just living with what you need and love. Being a location independent entrepreneur/digital nomad allows me to travel light and stay where I desire in the World (hotels, rentals, cities, nature, etc).
A clutter free environment allows you mental freedom.
Short Hair & Nails - This is based on palmistry and experience. Short nails are associated with hard work. It’s also practical to have short nails if you use a keyboard, text, and/or take care of tasks like cooking, cleaning, etc.
Short hair above the shoulders allows you mental freedom to focus on more practical concerns. There’s no real need to deal with distracting hair ties or headbands.
These can give some people a headache.
Lack of Accessories - If you’re exercising, working, etc, jewelry can get in the way. Small earring studs on the ears, face, and/or on a necklace are simple ways to wear jewelry.
Lightweight plastic eye glasses can also keep things simple.
Sensitive types may feel their ear piercings, face piercings, and other accessories too much though. This is when they can become an uncomfortable distraction. Less is more.
Martial Arts/Meditation – Meditation will always be my number one on how to be more focused in life. I started early on by reading about Zazen, participating in group meditations, providing Hypnotherapy to clients and partners, and taking martial arts classes (Kung Fu, Tai Chi, etc).
I'm about to celebrate my 1 Year Anniversary as a Digital Nomad overseas. The decision was actually made 2 years prior to 2019 in 2017. Yep. I took 2 years to gather everything together for the decision. It's not something you just decide to do! You have to have some shit together first. ;)
As I've worked from tropical locations, esp during lovely thunderstorms like tonight, I've thought about all of the people who continue to settle in life, relationships, etc. I try my best to provide assistance to those who need it though.
Here are some ways to get started making changes in your life...
* Think about All of the Times where you didn't settle in life. This can go back to your "rebel" childhood years where you just wanted to do things your way. Make a list if you need to. How many of you had group projects where you had to say "F it" and take charge? lol Add it to your list. ;)
* Plan ahead on paper. I'm always looking into the future, esp with astrology. The funny thing about astrology though is that it's based on circumstances of the past. Although many things change in life, some people, places, and things just never do. IT is what it is though. You make your own choices in life to seek out the resources that you need. This helps you stay objective as you plan ahead for what's best for you.
* Be flexible with yourself. The Universe vibrates to 3s. Give yourself 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months, 3 years, etc if necessary to move forward with a goal. Nothing was built overnight. Learning curves are normal. Continue to seek out what you want until you're satisfied.
* Ask for assistance. Even if you're a DIYer, you may still need assistance for your goals. Don't be afraid to ask others who have already been there and done that. It's ALWAYS more people than you think! The one on one time is priceless and a time saver. Continue to do it before, during, and after you've achieved what you want. :)
Sometimes people want to know what I'm thinking about random subject matters.
I'm ok with sharing my random thoughts. You may not agree with them though. A lot is based on my observations of how society is changing, as well as the things that have come up from years of working with clients.
I'll update at the bottom of each category as things come to me.
* The amount of time some spend with their "dating" partners is equivalent to taking a nap. Two hours really is how much time some people should spend with one another.
The napping partners episode from Friends sums it up. Joey and Ross knew what was up.
* The younger generations of men are taking on more domestic roles. The World is also becoming more convenient with 3rd party assistance (delivery, personal assistants, etc).
Three may be a crowd in a living situation, but it's becoming a helpful way of living in a modern two person partnership...even if it's just the handy friend that a couple calls up because he still owns a car and a toolbox.
* Birth rates are dropping all around the World. Plants and pet adoptions are increasing. That's that.
* Love is Love so there is no reason to keep adding letters to LGBT. Your first name is fine.
If your name is complicated, a nickname will do.
* Trial marriages are a good way to go if couples want to get married. The Universe vibrates to 3s so every 3 years will be a checkpoint, esp for those first 3-6 years of marriage. You can still have a "wedding" aka party until you make it legal. You may be cool without the legalities though.
* Texting is best for scheduling with an A or B choice. This forces an answer. Keep communications face to face or over the phone for longer conversations.
* Digital nomads, freelancers, and the location independents are growing. The vacation rental market is still good to invest in, esp for women and young couples.
* Education, Nutrition, and Basic Needs are all that people need to talk about to solve systematic issues in countries. The "react" before "act" mindsets are so strange. Stop fighting and start building up these foundations for yourself and one another. People are protesting the wrong way. They need to be in front of those running their cities, as well as finding their own way into one of those seats.
* Women and Men who only want to marry or date rich aren't really bad people. They just did the math on all of those 'indulgences" of their past that they kinda regret aka Venus retrograde making women reevaluate everything a bit too clearly. lol You know people like getting things for "Free".
* Minimalism will never get old because you get rid of stuff when it gets "old". ;)
* Autotune and EDM is not how you make music.
* "Adopting" adorable Kpop Generation Z kids is like adopting a talented child for free.
You'll always be entertained. Some can really sing!
* Vegetable and fruit powders are a potent way to get in your nutrients.
You can also get artistic with colorful food creations.
Collagen powder is great as well.
* Leggings and PJ pants will always be the solution to feeling "lighter" in your mind and body. Welcome them both into your wardrobe! hehe
* "Straight" men are boring and unrealistic. The World should atleast acknowledge that everyone is pretty Bisexual by now. A lot of women only have time for that in men...and only if the gay male friend cancels for brunch. haha I said what I said.
