During my travels, I've come across some really nice Canadians. One traveler offered me a cinnamon roll that she was baking. It actually made me consider Canada as a Bucket List stop one day. I did grow up with Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea like many other girls in the 90s. It wouldn't be a bad Bucket List themed visit.
Today I came across Canada's Food Guide. I was quite impressed I must say! They have made other waves in 2019 as well with their recreational substance use laws. That's not my exact cup of tea though.
However, I do appreciate the lovely yin and yang of food displayed in their food guide. It's great for omnivores who don't want to be extremist in their eating habits. Food isn't something to run from. Someone's food allergies
(Ex: dairy, fish, gluten, etc) in one country may simply just be a matter of quality control. When those food "allergies" are consumed in another country, there are no problems at all! This is why Global Food Travels are so important for the Next Generation. Some immune systems just need a different environment for awhile.
Asia is a great Global Food stop that I personally recommend for that reason!
What do you think about Canada's Food Guide though?
